Heavy-duty Impact Roller components - specialized rubber rings for mining and industrial conveyor systems

Impact Roller Product Description

Impact Rollers are installed below the loading section of the conveyor to reduce the impact on the belt and extend its service life. While their rated load capacity is similar to standard rollers, their primary function is shock absorption. Impact Rollers are specifically used at the material feed points of belt conveyors to dampen the impact of falling materials onto the belt. During the transportation of heavy or large lumpy materials, it is sometimes necessary to install Impact Rollers along the entire length of the conveyor line. These rollers are characterized by high toughness (more than 10 times that of ordinary metal), corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, anti-static properties, and light weight. They are widely used in mining and other heavy industries.

Impact Rollers are strategically positioned at load points where the lumps and weight of falling material could cause significant damage. To limit the impact effect of the material onto the rollers, they are covered with a series of rubber rings of adequate thickness and resistance. Impact Rollers endure stress not only from the static load of the material but also from the dynamic forces generated as the load falls onto the belt. The impact force arising from the free fall of material is naturally greater than in cases where material is deflected onto the belt by an inclined plate. For the correct dimensioning and selection of Impact Rollers in relation to the load, it is essential to check the characteristics of the base roller.
