Transportation & Storage

During transportation and storage, conveyor belts must be kept clean. Avoid direct sunlight, rain, and snow. Prevent contact with acids, alkalis, oils, organic solvents, or other substances that affect rubber quality. Keep at least 1 meter away from heat sources.

2. Temperature & Humidity

The storage warehouse temperature should be maintained between -15℃ and +40℃, with relative humidity kept between 50% and 80%.

3. Placement

Conveyor belts must be stored in rolls and should not be folded. During storage, rolls should be turned or rotated once every quarter.

4. Operating Speed

The operating speed should not exceed 5.0 m/s. For large, abrasive materials or when using fixed plow-type discharge devices, a lower speed should be adopted. Exceeding the recommended speed will reduce the belt’s service life.

5. Drum & Fabric Layers

The relationship between the drive drum diameter and the belt’s fabric layers, the matching of drive and bend pulleys, and the requirements for idler trough angles should be reasonably selected based on the conveyor’s design specifications.

6. Reducing Impact & Wear

To reduce impact and wear, the feeding direction should align with the belt’s running direction. Minimize the drop height of material falling onto the belt. The feeding point should avoid being positioned directly above drums or idlers. In the loading section, idler spacing should be reduced and buffering measures implemented. To prevent tearing, contact parts of scrapers, cleaners, and discharge devices should use rubber plates of appropriate hardness rather than fabric-reinforced belt scraps.

Attentions During Use

Prevent idlers from being covered by material, which can cause rotation failure. Prevent material leakage from getting trapped between the drum and the belt. Regularly lubricate moving parts, but ensure no oil contaminates the belt itself.

Avoid starting the conveyor under load whenever possible.

If the belt deviates (mistracks), take immediate corrective measures.

Repair any localized damage promptly to prevent further tearing or expansion.

1.
